I still have no phone line at home even after 6 months applying. Thus, frequently updating my blog is a problem. And no I'm not staying in an 'ulu' place. I'm too busy at the office to be doing 'extra' activities like blogging but I don't want to leave 2004 without saying something.
The year passes by so quickly. Just like the Telekom people, giving one excuse after another when I called them up asking about the phone line, 6 months has passed and I still have no phone line. TMNet complaints about the low Streamyx take-up rate when they have improved their service so much. But how can I subscribe to Streamyx without phone line??? Don't complaint about the public, complaint about your big brother. Similarly, if we keep giving excuses about doing something, to ourselves, to others, the time will passes by so quickly without us noticing it.
So, remember to always put ourselves, family and friends first, before everything else. The work will never end. I have a friend who works even on Sunday because of her workload. It is very nice of her to do that because she's handling payment to vendors. According to her, if she's late the vendors will not get their money on time. She is a very responsible person no doubt about that but she may have forgotten that she has one more responsibility i.e. to herself. The vendors will not die or close shop if their payment is late by 1 or 2 more days. Alternatively, insist the boss take one more staff to handle the job. I know it is easier said than done but we have only once to live our lives. If we leave it to chance and circumstances, we might regret it later.
I haven't thought about New Year resolution this year as I haven't got the time to sit down and reflect on how 2004 has affected my life. I'm guilty of the 'too busy' syndrome too. But my consolation, I've done most of the things I want to do. I hope I'll be as lucky in 2005.
Till next year, my greatest condolence to Tsunami victims all over the world. I prayed they'll be given a lot of patience and strength and may all the aid get to the right person and on time.
Sunflower gives the connotation of cheerfulness, bright, jolly, merry... you get the idea! However, if any content in this blog didn't fit the cheerfulness implied by its name, look at it this way... I'm putting down all the wretchedness, gloom, melancholy feeling in here so I can continue living up to the expectation of making the association to the sunflower.
