MCR 2015

Last weekend jadi supporter hubby in his first event... MCR. Our C2C event was cancelled due to haze so both our medal didn't count lah. This is 160km ride ok! And he completed it in 6 hours 15 mins. 7 hours 15 mins if including the break.  Not an easy feat OK!


Hubby's first cycling event:-
Melaka Century Ride - 160km - 3159 participants

My first cycling event:-
Halal Fun Ride - Almost 30 km - 3300++ participants


:D Begitu berbeza upaya kayuhan the two of us. I'm very proud of his achievement. I'm proud of my own too. Gigih join sorang2 and habiskan kayuhan sorang2.

I'm glad he got to feel the grand atmosphere of 3000+ participants. I'm glad he experienced that special feeling when he got hold of his medal. Of course our distance cycled were different but according to my abilities and never thought I could complete such event, I felt the grand achievement of completing my short distance ride nonetheless. Even more so for him. So dah dapat rasa perasaan happy nya masa tu. The only difference was... due to circumstances, he wasn't there when I completed my ride. I'm glad I was there last week from start to end. I know how it felt when there's no one there to share those moments with you.


I enjoyed the atmosphere very much despite telling my friend earlier malas nak join the crowd. But after the riders go off, I cycled around the area on my own. I brought my foldie... 10km for more than 2 hours :D The santai-est ride ever. Sempat souvenir shopping lagi.

Haze Still Around But There's Good News and Bad News

Let's start with a good news. The previous entry where I showed my weight is hovering around 61.5kg... that's real \o/ yeaayyy. It has been around that figure for several days.

The bad news... the very bad haze for the past few days where it is preferred for everyone to stay indoors has been bad for my diet. Asyik makan jer :( Asyik lapar jer. Habislah berat naik balik.

My diet is just about making the right choice of food and portion control. I still eat most things. I just prefer not to eat fried delicacies like pisang goreng, karipap and the likes... as well as sweet desserts. But I do indulge once in a while. So in short I don't suffer while dieting. Tapi susah nak buat portion control when you feel cooped up in the house. Sigh! Hubby and I dah habiskan coklat yang beli kat Langkawi haritu. Hmmm... begitu lah penangan lapar semasa jerebu.

However, nasib baik ada another good news. Jerebu dah kurang semalam. Baru mencecah 100 last night, our group dah pergi kayuh. I can still smell smoke though others not aware of it. Weird coz I'm the one with stuffed nose yesterday. Namanya kayuhan lepas gian. Selsema and slight cough pun kayuh jugak. Hopefully haze clears 'forever' and we can cycle anytime we want.

Berat Masa Tak Sihat


Terkejut tengok berat ni. Berat masa tak sihat few days ago. No appetite so I ate little during lunch and no dinner, bangun2 pagi this was how much I weighed. Tak excited sangat pun coz I know it'll increase when I'm better. Tapi suka juga sebab ada harapan nak turun when my weight has never reached 61 for many many years. Sigh! So with calorie count and more active lifestyle insyaAllah one fine day boleh turun lagi :) Right now I'm just worried sniffling and sneezing macam tak kurang dah berhari2. Last night pergi juga cycling sebab dah 2 weeks not cycling. Kalau ikutkan poor health memang lah tak berkayuh. Alhamdulillah managed to cycle 5 rounds around Sepang Circuit with darling hubby gagah perkasa pushing me at every uphills.


Masa cycling hidung clear mostly. Selsema sikit2 but tak tersumbat. Balik jer masuk kereta and kena angin mula lah tersumbat balik :(  Today ada program kat hotel nasib baik aircon tak kuat sangat. Tu pun dah berkawan dengan tisu jer. Anything to do with haze? I'm not coughing anymore. Just melayan hidung jer ni nak solat pun susah. Stuffed nose and dripping. Very difficult combination. Hopefully I'll get better soon.

Jerebu, Health, Cycling and Holiday

Keadaan kesihatan tak menentu sejak jerebu nih. Batuk2 with phlegm... merisaukan gak takut melarat semput. Lepas habis 2 botol herbal cough syrup kurang lah sket. Then hubby ada kerja di Kangar lagi. Selepas hampir 2 minggu cuti berkayuh, kita make a comeback in haze-free Kangar. Day 1 ride managed to do 40km ride from Kangar - K.Perlis - Arau - Kangar. Towards the end of the ride dah kayuh 10 kmph jer. Really hot with clear blue sky. I thought it's because I haven't cycle for almost 2 weeks. I tried to cycle faster. Really challenging to go beyond 10 kmph. Day 2 ride I tried new routes Kangar - Padang Melangit - Guar Jentik - Timah Tasoh Lake and back through different route that met Padang Melangit road. I continued towards K.Perlis for the mileage. And finally back to Kangar. Another milestone for my solo ride... 60km.



Kalau ikutkan masa balik dari Timah Tasoh, panas berdenting. Dah siap berhenti kat bus stop dah mengenang nasib cari pasal kayuh tengah panas2 buta ni hahaha... Ingat nak balik jer which means mileage will be around 30km. But then as I cycled again, cuaca mula mendung and berangin. Rasa sedap jer kayuh. So sambung lagi lah and aim for a new milestone. Alhamdulillah. That day I managed to cycle around 18-23 kmph even dah towards the end of the ride. So I now think it's the heat that can affect my cycling abilities heh :)

Return to hazy KL, started coughing again :( now flu and sneezing and no cycling. C2C event pun got cancelled. I was thinking of cycling up to Sg Udang and then naik lori sebab uphill nyer banyak dan menyemputkan dada just by looking at it from inside the car masa reccee route. So now we'll never know what I'm capable or incapable of huh!


Then holiday di Langkawi pulak. Booking done from last year rasanya. Nak merasa duduk di Berjaya Langkawi. Dapat 1 malam pun jadilah. Dah survey macam2 mode of transportation, AirAsia jadi pilihan. Only slightly more expensive but tak sepenat dan membuang masa kalau driving or naik bas. Minggu ni lah pulak Langkawi dapat extra cuti due to haze when other schools in Peninsula mula sekolah semula lepas cuti jerebu 2 hari. Anyway, masa our trip the haze indeks was the same with Putrajaya which is less than 100. Berangan nak cycling in Langkawi. Tapi lepas tengok route ke Burau Bay, cancel niat. Kalau area Kuah dan Cenang ok lah.


Reached home last night. Tidur lena immediately after my head touched the pillow somewhere around midnight. Sedar2 pukul 7 pagi. Kelam-kabut subuh. Lepas breakfast and family melaka balik, terlena lagi around 10 kut sampai pukul 2. Badan sakit2. Dah tidur lama tu kepala pun sakit. Hmmm... badan rasa semacam jer. Selsema and stuffed nose memang tak reda pun dari sebelum, semasa dan selepas Langkawi. Semoga Allah beri kesembuhan dari penyakit, ditemukan dengan ubat yang rasi dengan badan. Dah lah ubat2an dari klinik ker hospital banyak yang alergik. Nak harap pada supplement, makanan2 sunnah ni jer. Sedih juga bila keadaan kesihatan asyik tak OK dan diri jadi tak produktif.

Haritu lepas cycling 100km in Kangar, bila timbang range berat dah menurun. Lepas balik Langkawi, asyik makan jer range berat naik balik. Double sedih :(( Nak naik senang jer. Nak turun susah amat. Bila lah haze nak clear nih dan bila lah keadaan kesihatan nak OK? 2-2 mesti ok baru boleh kayuh.
