Artwork

Artwork
My artwork and hubby's artwork.

Now both hanging on our bedroom wall :)

I really can't believe it. I had a real surprise when I returned from my outstation training and found the other black board has hubby's masterpiece on it. I did mine before I went outstation and decided to do the other one later. I wanted to see how it looks when the glue dried.

No wonder hubby asked if there's any glue in the house. I brought all for my training. He found some old glue and use that. Mine didn't look that nice after the glue dried. I must use other material to replace the crepe paper. But we'll treasure these artwork of ours for a while.

Let's Go Green

I have been busy with a series of training again. Alhamdulillah with 'rezeki' from Allah for Raya this year. Despite that, I managed to find some time to re-do our mini garden on the balcony. I've been thinking about what to do with it for quite some time. Should we get a water feature installed on the balcony or hire someone to design it with a nice tropical theme? None of that sounds practical to me. We're renting this place. Our new condo would be completed by end of this year but we still haven't decided whether to move or not. It has been very convenient here. Anyway, here's how our mini garden looks now. Please excuse the plastic pots. I'm being practical. Use and re-use whatever's available. If I ever find the time to find some bricks, the plastic pots as stands will be replaced. The plastic pots with plants.... it depends. Baba plastic pots are practical isn't it.

Mom gave me 6 flower pots when I drop by at her place after a training about 2 weeks ago. Hubby's quite impressed with our new mini garden but remarked how long it's going to remain green? Hehehe... I told him that's why I took some photos just in case we have to go outstation for an extended period of time... then at least we'll remember how it was when the plants look nice and green. At the opposite side of the balcony, there's a smaller area where I group plants like lemon grass, curry leaves, papaya and chilli together. I wanted to put the pandan leaves with this group but that would leave the mini garden unbalanced so for now the pandan leaves stays in the mini garden. Hubby said it's quite impossible for the papaya tree to bear fruit if it is in the pot but the tree is growing big and strong so we'll see how it goes. Even if there's no fruit, it will look nice and green. Our kangkung and ladies finger died when I was busy with a series of training last time. I still have the ladies finger seed but I'll keep it for now. I wanted to try with other plants.

I wanted to plant lime trees, turmeric leaves and few more herbs and vegetables when I have the time. For now, I'll enjoy our mini garden. I'm still looking for a small table and two chairs that can stand the weather elements so we can enjoy our garden more. Probably more stone features and I'm thinking whether I should buy a garden lamp or just use candles and lantern whenever we wanted to sit outside at night. Thank God there's no mosquito way up here. We'll have a really nice garden by the time I'm finished with it :)

We also have few more plants inside the house. I bought a few, mom gave me a few... I wanted to rearrange our kitchen so we can have more space to put the greens and also in the bathroom. So many things to do... it's a great thing I have more flexible time now. I better get on to it now :)

Salam Ramadhan 1430H

Salam Ramadhan to all Muslims.

This is the second time I celebrated Ramadhan as a wife. Last year, I was a full time career woman. This year, I'm a freelance trainer. I have to go outstation twice during this Ramadhan but other than that, I can manage my time any way I want. I can cook and clean the house during my free time and will not be so rushed like last year. Hubby and I also wanted to make this Ramadhan more meaningful with activities that we don't have time to do last year. So I'm hoping for better Ramadhan insyaAllah.

My Newest Activity

This is my latest and newest activity.

I finally know how to set the weight belt after 3 lesson.

Hubby and I has always talked about going scuba diving. My SIL said she knew someone who provides scuba lesson. Her friend isn't available but the recommended instructors are very nice people, very patient and friendly. Ended up, the three of us took the lesson.

I still don't know how to swim... which doesn't stop people from being able to scuba dive. Hubby and I just bought our wetsuit and mask. Unfortunately there's no Muslimah wetsuit so have to wear the sexy wetsuit. My handsome hubby looked like "Man from Atlantis" hehehe... Soon, I have to buy a BCD because its difficult to find the right size and the right fit if we rent. I have experienced how difficult it was to control myself under the water with a wrong size and worn out BCD. Even more so with my limited swimming skill. So own BCD is a must. For me at least.

We have another lesson in the pool before going for open dive. I'm so looking forward to it :) That will only happen after Raya though. I'll be busy with training again beginning next week till the first week of Ramadhan. So no time for diving lesson and leisure traveling till after Raya.

Cobweb Clearing

It has been awhile since I last update this blog. I'm wondering whether I should post several shorter entries or a single long entry to cover all the activities I've been busy with. What do you think hmm? We'll see how thing goes as I continue writing. Or picture posting more likely :)

I don't know what to expect. It was a relaxing walk with the sound of nature and when we saw the Straits of Malacca after walking through the mangroves area, it gives a different feeling. As if you're discovering a hidden jewel or treasure.

I stayed close to hubby. The monkeys were everywhere. Out of a sudden when you turn around, you'd be face to face with these Darwin's relatives. I've had several shocking moments when the monkeys get too near.

Kg. Kuantan Fireflies

We also went to watch firefiles at Kg. Kuantan. The view were amazing and breathtaking. Since we can't take photos, too bad you all have to experience it yourselves.

The 45 minutes hiking was really worth it when we saw the waterfall. These pictures were taken when amazingly most of the crowd left the waterfall to eat or rest. Earlier, a family group was playing with a ball and everyone who wants to join in just join the crowd. It was fun.
