This has happened several times and finally I remembered to jot the words down before I forget about it. It happened in a serious program like Ringgit Sense, a TV3 program and a not so serious program like Boomtown shown on Channel 9 tonight. I'm talking about one line of Boomtown's Malay subtitle. "Jangan anggar kurang aku" is what has been translated for "Don't underestimate me". Unfortunately, I've forgotten the translation error in the Ringgit Sense program and at least one other program I've watched. It has always been at the back of my mind to comment on these wrong subtitle issues as it has happened often enough and I finally got my chance tonight.
TV used to be one of the sources for me to learn and improve my English ever since I can remember. Seems like it can't play that role anymore.
Sunflower gives the connotation of cheerfulness, bright, jolly, merry... you get the idea! However, if any content in this blog didn't fit the cheerfulness implied by its name, look at it this way... I'm putting down all the wretchedness, gloom, melancholy feeling in here so I can continue living up to the expectation of making the association to the sunflower.
