We departed from KL with a dreary gray sky, heading towards Sepang. We used the Sepang-Lukut-PD route. The view along the journey is quite interesting. We saw baby palm oil as far as our eyes can see. Now, that is not a view you can see everyday. I felt the journey is shorter as compared to using Sg.Besi-Seremban-PD route, not to mention cheaper. The last toll we pay is at KLIA toll. The weather at PD looks very promising. We can see some blue sky instead of gray.
We stopped by at our friend's place for lunch, and then headed to the beach. It was indeed a beautiful beach. Normally, I would enjoy the scenery and not go into the sea but this time, I brought some clothes just in case and I'm glad I did. I had lots of fun splashing in the water with my friend's six year old son. We had the beach all to ourselves for a while.
My mom warned me to beware just in case. Alhamdulillah nothing happened. We did not find any sea cucumber and there's no extraordinarily big wave either. She called at about 5 asking how I was and also mentioning it's raining heavily at home. I told her it is clear blue sky in PD. I went to sleep feeling like my body was lulled by the wave last night.
The beautiful beach.
The clear blue sky.
Splashing at sea :)

Over here we have sea, sea, sea. Tapi semanjak hari tu (tsunami), hati rasa tak senang. The image of the rescuer picked up the small girl with sand covered body still stays on my mind. Hopefully, get over the feelings soon. Your photos had somehow tempted me to return to the beach.
People like me who has not experienced and saw the devastation forgets faster Lilian. Sad but true. The volcanic development in Indonesia is quite frightening but I still feel we're relatively safe, being in the central region of the peninsular and protected by Sumatra island.
Having said that, I was always on the lookout just in case. We'll never know right. But I do not want the fear or anticipation of something bad that could happen stop me from experiencing 'now'. The sea really is very therapeutic.
