I've heard of this saying, "Don't marry someone you CAN LIVE WITH! Marry someone you CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT" and recently a friend reminds me of it. I'm wondering whether "someone you can't live without" exist. I've had past relationships where I thought I wouldn't be able to live without him... wouldn't be able to go on without him... and after the break-up, it feels like that initially. But after some time, I pick up the pieces of my life, get back on my feet and never look back.
If I ever think of those times now, all I'd think is how stupid I was. No one is going to live your life for you. You are. There are so many things worth living for other than someone who don't appreciate you or is not compatible with you. If anyone says what I feel or have experienced didn't count because I'm not married, well... there are many divorcees out there who have also managed to pick up the pieces and go on. Many become much stronger, wiser and happier after their ordeal, a relationship which begins with 'true' love, can't-live-without-you and ends with separation, better-off-without-you. So I don't think there is such a thing as someone you can't live without.
