Heart calming thoughts...
Don't despair. I heard this mentioned in one of Yasmin Mogahed speeches on YouTube.
The difference between Adam and Eve, and Satan.... All sinned. Satan refused to bow to Adam and, Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit. Both Adam and Eve feel remorse and repent to Allah. Satan didn't but instead requested from Allah that he be allowed to deviate Adam's offsprings from the guided path.
If you feel you have sinned. If you feel there's no hope, don't despair. If you can't make your parents happy and resigned to fate that you'll never enter heaven... stop! If you feel you have not been a good servant... don't despair. Continue your prayers for one only enters Jannah not by one's deed but solely from the mercy of Allah. Don't be like Satan who refuse to repent.
I refuse to believe there's no point in living if you have no control on how others react or treat you. Otherwise, where would you go if death assures you of hell fire and living has no meaning if your only destination in the hereafter is hell. Don't despair for that is what Satan wants human to feel. No hope for you so might as well do whatever you want coz later you'll end up in hell anyway. Don't allow that. We have a gift called Taubah. Use it all the time. Find your inner peace.
Sunflower gives the connotation of cheerfulness, bright, jolly, merry... you get the idea! However, if any content in this blog didn't fit the cheerfulness implied by its name, look at it this way... I'm putting down all the wretchedness, gloom, melancholy feeling in here so I can continue living up to the expectation of making the association to the sunflower.
