Sunflower gives the connotation of cheerfulness, bright, jolly, merry... you get the idea! However, if any content in this blog didn't fit the cheerfulness implied by its name, look at it this way... I'm putting down all the wretchedness, gloom, melancholy feeling in here so I can continue living up to the expectation of making the association to the sunflower.

Pasta Ala Trapanese
This past few days, I'm always hungry due to no appetite. I'll eat something a little bit to stop hunger and then I can't swallow the food anymore. This morning's fried rice was eaten little by little till around 5 p.m. just now. Not enough to stave off hunger but that's all I can manage. I enjoy watching cook show though. So in David Rocco's show, he made this pasta with fried potato and eggplant. It looks interesting and appetizing. Since I have most of the ingredients at home, quickly go into the kitchen to make it.
I blend some tomato with garlic and a pinch of salt. I don't have basil leave though. Put in some EVOO and leave aside. Boil the spaghetti and fry potato like french fries and diced eggplant in EVOO as well. After frying, pour some salt on top. Once spaghetti is boiled, toss the water and pour spaghetti into container with tomato paste. I sliced some cili padi to give some heat to the spaghetti. Then add the fried potato and eggplant. David Rocco sliced some cheese on top of the spaghetti. I don't have cheese in stock. It still tastes great to me. I finished the whole bowl. The above picture is only taken once there were only 2 spoonfuls left. Good thing I remember to take some pic. This is the first time I quickly make the food I just watched on TV. Alhamdulillah I'm full now.
