Monday Blues

It's been quite difficult to get back to the normal working mode after a few days of break. I've taken a leave last Thursday so that gives me 4 continous day of break. Sigh! The intention of having a break is just that... to get a break from the never ending work. But when the break ends, all the pressure of the never ending work will be haunting us again. Can we ever break the cycle? Stop working is not an option at all unless you suddenly get a big inheritance from an unknown wealthy relatives :) I know I have none from the known relatives. When one project finishes, another awaits. Another Sigh! But, no more sighs after this. Think positive! At least when one project ends, I'll have one less project to think about right.

I'm still in the first month of blogging. And I have discovered it really is quite difficult to be a dedicated blogger. Sometimes there are so many things to write but no time to do it. This 'not enough time syndrome' also affects work, my 'special' daily email, time for myself and family. Will we ever have all the time that we need? The Qur'an said in surah Al-Asr:

"By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), Verily Man is in loss, Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching (advice) of Truth, and of Patience."

The year is coming to an end which means it is time to renew my resolutions. Personally I think we shouldn't reserved resolutions for new year only. But doing it in the new year will make it easier for us to track whether we have achieved what we want to achieve by the end of the year. So probably in this coming new year my resolution should be along the line of time management, giving the priorities to the rocks in my life as someone keeps advising me (I'll tell the story about the rocks some other time). Hmm.. easier said than done though. "Time is golden".... you can buy anything if you have the greens, but not time. But the people with the greens can hire other people to do things for them so they can have more time for themselves. Since I definitely don't have an abundance of greens, I'll just have to make do with whatever resources that I have at my disposal.

Hopefully this pep talk or should I say pep thoughts can improve my monday blues mood.
