Kain Batik

I don't normally wear kain batik. The few kain batik I have is used to cover pillow when I'm traveling no matter how many star the hotel is, used when ironing clothes if necessary, and other creative uses... but not worn.

However, it has proven to be very useful during confinement. Not only that, I just realize how beautiful a batik sarong can be. I'm referring to the common sarong that aunties and grandmas and the kampong folks wore... not the silk batik designers do. If you want something purely local, this is the real deal. Beautiful colors, pretty design and extremely versatile and useful.

I'll extend my batik sarong collection from now on and I'm gonna collect all beautiful colors. It seems all the batik sarong I've bought, is red. All the other colors I have is either hand-me downs from mom and gifts from others. Other than red, I like green too. No green batik sarong in current collection. Not sure if I'll wear them after confinement but I'd like to keep more in my wardrobe nonetheless.
